AGS Health - Data Scientist

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Engage with business and operations teams to identify and flesh-out ML use-cases

- Conduct business/technology assessments depending on project scope

- Responsible for identifying needs, ingestion, quality and value evaluation, distillation & analysis of both structured and unstructured data from multiple sources

- Working closely with stakeholders to capture domain tribal knowledge and intelligence to be incorporated in solutions

- Identifying applicability of Google Cloud Platform to use cases with ability to project both the business n tech benefits

- Selecting and employing advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights

- Researching solutions to overcome analytics challenges

- Developing and optimizing advanced computational, machine learning and deep learning models that integrate business rules and requirements using Vertex AI

- Cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability

- Customize models and build on top of existing framework to address client specific requirements

- Productionizing ML models using Google Cloud technologies

- Expose the APIs as required to interact with other modules

- Providing hands-on support to end-users to use and interpret results driving adoption

- Creating assets to fast-track solution development

- Staying informed about latest developments in Data Science

Requirements:

- Advanced degree in data science, statistics or computer science

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in independently developing and deploying machine learning models

- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and distributed computing to build scalable analytical solutions

- Advanced coursework in machine learning and programming

- Proficient in different aspects of model architecture, data pipeline interaction and metrics interpretation

- Experience in GCP - Vertex AI, Big Query, GCS, Composer

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, statistics, algorithm and problem solving

- Experience in building models in Python

- Experience with querying languages

- Ability to relay insights in simple terms be used to inform business decisions

- Prior experience in healthcare analytics preferred

- Experience in statistical and mathematical software preferred

- Experience implementing data services, including storage, integration, and APIs preferred
