Data Science - Agrostar

As a data science specialist, you will play a key role in building the lifecycle of Farmer's agri activity, build recommendation engine for ideal farm inputs, knowledge & treatments, insights to improve the crop cycle from selecting ideal seeds, crop nutrition, protection, hardware, soil condition, weather condition and credit availability. You get to harness the extreme loyal & referral phenomena we observe, to penetrate deeper into this segment that stands out from generic e-commerce model. This further gets enriched with adoptability of smartphones, credit financing, use cases for IOT with real-time data collection, drone monitoring and adaptive supply chain management through predictive pricing, recommendations & demand.

You will be playing key role in the experimentation, analysis, usage and for recommendation of farm inputs, agri-cycle, crop productivity, database framework, statistical & machine learning algorithms. You will also need excellent communication and influencing skills to drive & recommend analytics for strategy, product & marketing teams. We're looking for highly analytical individuals with a strong analytics & data science background having hands on with relevant programing skills & tools.

Location : Pune

Experience : 2-5yrs

Education Background: Statistics/Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics/Operations Research preferable from IITs, ISI, IISc & top NITs

Pref. working experience: E-commerce, Fintech, Hyperlocal, Logistics-tech, Food-tech, Gaming, Consumer Banking, Fractal, MuSigma, Flipkart, Amazon, eBay, Google, Swiggy.

Key Skills:

Must have:

- Aspiration in Data Science/Agri-tech/Startups,

- Programming: MySQL, NoSQL (Mongo/Cassandra), R, Python

Good to Have:

- Modelling techniques and specifically logistic Regression, linear regression, cluster analysis, CHAID, market basket analysis. Machine Learning & AI would be an add-on.

- Tableau, ggplot2, Adv. Excel/PPT, Apache Solr, Redis, javascript
