AgroStar - Manager - Product Design

AgroStar is a Pune-based start-up in the agro-tech space. Our founders, Shardul Sheth and

Sitanshu Sheth, both having experience in the retail and consulting space respectively, started this company with an aim to create a go-to platform for farmers across India in order to fulfill all their farming needs. We have procured and partnered with leading national and international brands for major agri-inputs like seeds, crop nutrition, crop protection, and farm implements, that are needed for farming and we deliver them to the doorstep of farmers. Thus, our efforts at AgroStar are focused to become the driving force to equip our farmers with the power of knowledge to farm better and smartly, through technology and up to date expert advice.

Your Responsibilities At AgroStar:

1. Guiding and managing a diverse & talented team of product designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill sets.

2. Lead and oversee the user experience of a products from conception to launch in partnership with product managers and engineers

3. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable products for our 5+ million users

4. Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our products

5. Conduct research to understand user's behavior and transform the insights to impact the product

6. Analyze data with the product team and incorporate those to inform your design.

7. Define, craft and evolve designs within visual systems and/or standards

Our Requirements For This Role :

1. 8-9 years of design experience, encompassing interaction design and visual design with proficiency designing across platforms

2. 3+ years experience managing and mentoring teams

3. Experience with delivering 0-1 products from concept stages to launch

4. Experience building and shipping applications or software across a variety of platforms

5. Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts

6. Experience working on large scale, complex, ambiguous projects across multiple teams

7. Impeccable aesthetic style and applicable knowledge of design fundamentals.

8. Experience in running user-research/ surveys and mapping data back to design.

9. A strong portfolio with case-studies that clearly talks about the process of solving the problem in hand
