About the Role :

This role will be of a business partner, custodian, commentator and the scorekeeper. He/she will be responsible for bringing financial discipline by making sure that every flow of money is tracked and recorded. Additionally he/she will ensure that the company has the systems and procedures in place commensurating with our size and scale.

Key Job Responsibilities :

- Oversee financial accounting; ensuring compliance with accounting standards and ensuring that expenditures are consistently aligned with budgets throughout the period.

- Contribute in the analysis of financial data and preparation of MIS in an accurate and timely manner;

- He/She will be responsible for end to end management & MIS reporting for the key finance functions like Accounts Payables, Account Receivables and Banking operations.

- Lead 5-6 member teams under these sub-functions.

- Manage and monitor organizational cash flow and continuously assess the financial efficacy of operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support operations.

- Maintain & build required processes and control as required under ICFR.

- Take end to end responsibility of trial balance closing, preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements of the Company.

- Liaison with Internal & Statutory auditors and drive end to end closure of audits.

- Interface with business teams and external stakeholders to solve their queries.

- This role reports to the Director - Finance.

Key skills and personality traits :

Must Have's :

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong financial & accounting skills

- Good understanding of business and financial issues

- 3-5 years of experience in a combination of Big4 and corporate roles

- Experience in E-commerce industry or startups experience will be an added plus

- Highly analytical and data driven, but also have a passion for creativity and forward-thinking flair

- Results oriented and good project management

- Team player and excellent communication skills to work with team members across functions

- Self-motivator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong work ethic (this will involve long hours, we are a startup!).

- Hands on experience in trial balance closing and financial reporting.

- Knowledge of ERP Systems (NAVISION preferable).

- Proficiency in MS Office
