We have 1 very urgent positions in one of the reputed corporate services & facilities management :

POSITION : AGM - Statutory Compliance ( Labour Laws )

REPORTING : Head ER & Compliance

Reportees : vendor team : central 5 + regional offices 9 [ All on vendor payroll ]

BASE LOCATION : Mumbai

CTC : 26 - 29 Lac p.a. ( inclusive of 10 - 15% variables ) ; depending upon current CTC.

Span of control : pan India

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Strategic :

- Development of overall statutory compliance framework and management.

- Advice, manage, & Supervise the Statutory compliance by different functions

- Partner with Regional HR Heads, HRBPS with respect to effective Compliance Management

- Partner with external agencies / government bodies to have better and ensured compliance.

Operational :

- Manage the national compliance vendor.

- Conduct periodic audits of current systems, procedures, policies, and workflows to ensure efficiencies and legal compliance; develop processes that improve department and end user efficiency.

- Ensure adherence to applicable statutory laws and regulations, maintenance of records and closure of notices and inspections from the statutory authorities as per need.

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR. Keep up to date with legal developments and advise management on compliance and risk factors. Work to proactively reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

- Ensuring Process, Policy and reporting compliance

- To interact with Regional HR head on matters pertaining to Central and State Labour Laws compliance

Developmental :

- To attend seminars, conferences, various local Labour Law Compliance forums and training programs to continuously update knowledge and skill.

- Interact with the HR fraternity on best practices, people trends and Compliance updates

- To share best practices with the operation leadership team

Effective Statutory Compliance :

- Liaison with ORGANISATION Legal Team, Labour Law consultant/counsels and engage with government authorities to ensure timely compliance under various laws as applicable for respective sites

- Point of contact for any guidance to all functions related to policies and practices from Country / State labour law perspective

- Liaise with Business Managers, Facility Team, Finance, HRMs, and HRBPs for any requirements to ensure compliance at all times.

- Proactively engage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure practices are compliant to Country / State law requirements and ORGANISATION policies

- Proactively engage with Business leaders/ Managers in their Business Expansion Plans and ensure HR Compliance Agenda is incorporated in the plan and compliant to the respective state legal requirements

- Responsible for ensuring guidance to ORGANISATION Management in case any change required in ORGANISATION policies and practices due to change in Country / State labor law

- Design, implement and maintain framework of tracking and auditing compliance for ORGANISATION and its Vendors

- Manage labor inspections for all sites/ base offices of ORGANISATION in India with the help of the national compliance vendor.

- Maintain and publish regular reports /dashboards at defined frequencies on all the applicable labour laws across the country

- Work closely with HRBPs, Regional HR Heads and Legal team to develop policies and processes and regularly upskill/ update the line managers to effectively deal with Compliance related matters.

- Streamline process for managing Compliance Vendor administration, particularly ensure standard processes and documentation are published and used subject to local employment practices and legal requirements

- Monitoring and managing the progress of all Employee related legal cases across the country for effective closure.

- Interfacing with Statutory Bodies for Specific Employee Legal cases

Client Relationship Management :

- Interacting with identified Client Compliance team to have better expectation management for business continuity at defined frequency

- Guiding the regional teams on observations made by clients on compliance issues during client audit.

Person Specification:

10-17 years of relevant work experience approx.

INDUSTRY :

Retail ( 1st preference ) ; Logistics ; Ecommerce ; ANY SERVICES SECTOR .

MBA ( HR / IR ) / equivalent mandatory.

BALLB / Labour Law degree preferred.
