AGM / Sr. Manager - Finance/ Accounts & Commercial

The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant or ICWA with 10 to 15 years of experience in a large Coal based Thermal Power Plants.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Accounts

- Responsible for preparation of Power Generation bill as per the PPA norms and submit the same to PSEB in time.

- Extending clarification when needed to PSEB officials on billing and costing.

- Responsible for Day to Day cash management.

- Preparing Cash Budgets and variance analysis.

- Maintaining books of accounts in SAP.

- Ledger Scrutiny, Monthly verification of Books of Accounts and analysing the variances.

- Preparation of periodic financial statements and MIS for management.

- Fixed Assets Management, Debtors and Creditors Management.

- Ageing Analysis of Debtors and creditors.

- Review of Trial Balance, Inter company reconciliations and monthly closure of Books of Accounts.

- Preparation & maintenance of books of accounts, Trial balance & schedules required for finalization of accounts.

- Preparation of various MIS reports, keeping track of input credits, assistance in budgeting & variance analysis, Cost Sheet etc.,

- Responsible for Preparation of Costing related MIS reports like Weekly, and Monthly performance reports and variance analysis ( between standard v/s Actual).

- Work as a part of Operations team in preparation of Annual Budget and presentations.

- Monthly Cost sheet preparation and determination of contribution.

- Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.

- Computation of tax liability, filing of return, compiling TDS provisions, Advance tax, VAT, CST, Service tax provisions etc.

- Monthly profitability statement, Cost of Production, Contribution margin analysis, Preparation of performance analysis statement of each division of the Company.

- Statutory Compliances.

Commercial / Fuel

Responsible for handling of commercial aspects of fuel (Coal) procurement in coordination with HO.

- Fuel cost analysis, coal payments working & claim from PSEB as per the PPA.

- Active follow-up with vendors for timely deliveries, quality checks

- Follow up with inspection agency for timely issued of quality certificates.

- Coordination for purchase Furnace Oil and Diesel from HPCL/IOCL.

- Procurement planning, negotiating with the suppliers, transporters and to co-ordinate for finalization of coal orders at the best available cost comparable with the linkage price to achieve the target of best coal procurement at the cheapest rate in coordination with Materials department at HO.

- Designing of EOI (Expression of interest), techno-commercial negotiations, Elementary Cost analysis and Landed cost evaluation and quotation cost justification.

- Planning, Performing, Monitoring & Analyzing the coal logistic includes internal movement activities to execute the job in the best organized way

- Proper monitoring of coal quality and re verification of analysis result with several inspection agencies to keep an eye on the coal quality and Inspection agency's trustworthiness to safeguard the interest of the company

- Evaluating various techno economical options for strategically planning and sourcing of fuel mix viz. indigenous, washed and imported coal.

- Bill verification.

- Gathering information MIS related to plant fuel consumption, plant planned shutdown record and business plan for coming time to estimate stock to be maintained. Developing Sourcing Strategies, Competitive Supplier.

- Provide annual budget proposal and develop the same in consultation with Head of the Department.

- Maintaining MIS related to Import coal prices and international ocean freight.

- Liaise and follow up with PSEB official on various billing aspects and Plant Load Factor.

- Conducting physical verification of coal stock.

- Maintaining Complete MIS for Coal stock maintenance and reconciliation of Linkage Coal with concerned including Physical Verification.
