Warburttons a leadership search organisation is retained to identify experienced AGM Projects for a leading real estate development organisation dedicated to delivering exceptional projects that redefine urban landscapes and enhance communities.

The Assistant General Manager of Projects will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of projects. Leading a team of project managers and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the AGM of Projects will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

As a AGM Projects you will manage the below responsibility:

- Project Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for all development projects. Define project goals, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with company strategy and client requirements.

- Team Leadership and Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, coordinators, and support staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure that team members are equipped to deliver projects successfully.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the project with Consultants, Contractors and Vendors. Foster positive relationships and effectively communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project execution and implement strategies to mitigate them. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules closely, proactively addressing issues as they arise.

- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and industry regulations.

- Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of contractors, suppliers, and consultants involved in project execution. Negotiate contracts, procurements, and change orders to optimize project outcomes and minimize risks.

- Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, to ensure budget adherence.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, efficiency, and effectiveness. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

A successful applicant should have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering

- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are desirable

- Proven track record of 15 years of experience in project management, preferably in real estate development or construction.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.

- Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

- Solid grasp of construction processes, building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent
