Position - AGM - Power Trading (Renewable energy)
Location - Delhi
Company - One of the Leading MNC in Power/Infra
Experience - 15-20 years in Power Trading (Strictly)
Qualification : MBA or BE from the premium institute
Job Detail:
- To manage power trading for both internal and external clients on the Power Exchanges; deciding bidding strategy and developing the relations ship with clients. Acquiring new clients for growing the power trading bilateral/ exchange business.
- Undertake activities for distribution License for SEZs planned by Group in Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu
- Tracking & understanding of new business opportunities in Power Distribution Sector
- Strategize on Power Trading & associated processes for Medium & Long Term Trade.
- To trade Renewable Energy Certificate trading every month; dealing with issues related to PAT (Perform, Achieve, and Trade); and cross-subsidy.
- Exploration of opportunities with existing buyers & undertake to convert prospects through business development & interaction with various intermediaries having common business interests.
- Participate in short term tenders issued by various utilities & Industrial consumers.
- Monitor developments in transmission sector for corridor availability to ensure transaction viability.
- Undertake to provide the market pulse for establishing optimum transactions.
- Establish Power Sale Arrangements from Internal Power Generating Assets to maximize revenue through continuously tracking tenders & power purchase strategy of various utilities & industrial consumers.
- Timely preparation of Offer/bid documents including standard terms & conditions
- To manage all commercial activities – booking of transmission corridor as per the Letter of Intent,
- Billing of all transactions as per the billing schedule, managing payments – clients (Bilateral / Power Exchange Participants) and energy bill settlement exactly in accordance with the terms of the contracts, and within the designated timelines.
- Long Term/ Medium term billing
- Ensure timely receivable from the buyers.
- Daily review of cash flow
- Ensuring Payment Security Mechanism averting the payment risks, Scheduling of power and payment receipts
- To manage the Team and the business to achieve the Annual Operating Plan Goals. Reviewing and updating the power trading processes regularly.
- Roistering of duties; and ensuring availability of adequate manpower at all times; conducting sunrise meetings for advance preparation for the day’s business activities by thrashing out probable / impending operational issues.
- To manage compliance of the required Regulatory norms (reporting and compliance obligations), keeping track of new Regulations; Studying Cross subsidy and conducting in-depth discussions on proposed draft Regulations through internal presentations; Providing Regulatory inputs directly/indirectly affecting Power Markets & trading business.
- Keeping update of Sector information which helps in optimizing business process and also useful in strategic discussions. Preparing and supplying feedback on proposed Regulations to CERC; coordinating the preparation of CERC Petitions; attending hearings at CERC.
- Manage the business excellence knowledge with regard to customer engagement, service level agreements with internal and external clients, and knowledge management.
- Managing, Reviewing and updating the risk mitigation plan of power trading business.
- Follow the enterprise policies on risks, delegation of powers, processes and manage the risks (volume, payment, receivables & penalties etc.)
