Company Brief :

The company based in Bangalore headquartered global infrastructure major with interests in Airports, Energy, Highways and Urban Infrastructure sectors. Founded in 1978, the Group is well diversified and professionally managed. Employing the Public Private Partnership model, the Group has successfully implemented several iconic infrastructure projects in India.

In the Airports sector, the Group operates India’s busiest airport, the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, where it has built a brand new integrated terminal T3. It is the biggest terminal in India and one of the largest in the world.

The Group has 15 power generation assets of which 8 are operational and 7 are under various stages of development.

Job Description:

Position: Associate General Manager / General Manager – Finance, China, Beijing

Qualifications: CA/MBA /BTech

Experience: 11 to 14 years’

Location : Beijing, China,

Industry Preference: Power/Steel/Infrastructure

Job Summary:

1. Fund Raising and Project Financing

2. Networking with Chinese Banks and other overseas Banks for Fund Raising and Project Financing

3. Working capital management (Both fund based and non fund based with consortium bankers)

4. Cash flow preparation, Financials preparations (both quarterly and annually)

5. Application of various laws on day to day activities (Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Company Law, etc.)

6. Servicing foreign currency debts

7. Analysis of various expenses, advances, etc.

8. Processing of invoice, BRS and month end activities

9. Dealing with bankers for fund disbursement

Key Deliverables:

- Ensure Efficient Utilization of resources assigned

- Ensure management of approvals and permits from local/statutory authorities

- Oversee generation of periodic MIS representing progress status and advise on alternate solution to the unresolved issues

- Identify and quantify the risks for taking collaborative decisions with senior management of the business

- Provide leadership in the exchange of knowledge relating to best, current international practice and in identification and analysis of trends

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, private professional bodies

- Conduct progressive staff performance and development evaluations

Project Financing of Energy Projects –

- Raise Funds for Energy Projects: Fund and Non Fund based, Letter of credits, Bank guarantees, Term lending, short term borrowing, buyers & supplier's credit, etc.

Equity Fund Raising –

- Worked on three equity transactions at holding company & project SPV level. Preparation of a Placement Memorandum & Business Plan for investors, Term Sheet Negotiation, Due Diligence and deal closure.

Project Marketing –

- Marketing the Project to the shortlisted lenders. This process includes presentations, meetings & discussions with potential lenders.

- Originate lead bank, complete project appraisal, and loan syndication. Coordinating with Banks/FIs and Investors at middle and senior level for fund raising.

Project Appraisal & Structuring –

- Preparation of Business plan & Information Memorandum. Understanding of the project structure & its documents & carrying out a detailed due diligence on the project.

- Support in negotiations with financial lenders / investors for financial closure.

- Understanding the underlying risks in a Fx transaction viz interest rate / Fx risks and the hedging mechanisms

Deal Closure –

- Transaction documentation, and deal closure; Finalization of transaction documentation with lenders & legal counsels.

- Closure of CP's & process drawdown of funds for the project

- SPV Rating

Business Development Support Activities –

- Evaluate M & A opportunities in Power Sector (conventional & renewable), coal mines, etc

- Financial analysis/structuring of Power Projects & Power Supply Bids / MOU Projects , feasibility studies of projects.

- Providing inputs in structuring the project & making it more bankable ; this covers issues such as tariff structuring, security, risk mitigation measures, cash flows phasing, etc.
