AGM - Direct Taxation

The JD for the role is as under:

Research

1. Undertake research on various income-tax related issues and maintaining a database for the same on regular basis

2. Technically strong to provide research and its analysis in a very short churn around time

3. Ability to draft strong technical submissions based on the above research

4. Keep the management and team informed of the latest income-tax and regulatory updates relevant for the business

5. Assist in compiling and drafting representations to be made to the Ministry and other policy makers

6. Detailed knowledge of the income-tax law, rules, procedures, filings, etc

Litigation

7. Independently prepare submissions and appeals to be filed with the CIT(A)/ ITAT and regular follow up to obtain timely orders from the Appellate authorities

8. Assist in CIT(A)/ITAT matters, including briefing the Counsel

Regular compliances

9. Liaison with various departments in the Company and collate necessary details and analyze the same for making submissions with the Authorities

10. Prepare Computation of Income, Tax Returns, Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit and other statutory compliances

11. Assisting in Advance tax & Provisions of tax on quarterly basis, Contingent Liability, CARO report, Year-wise tax status

12. Preparing replies in response to various notices / intimations. Drafting submissions, compiling factual details and supporting documents

13. Prepare and Coordinate with the Income tax Department and obtain order giving effects, rectification orders, refunds, etc

14. Review the orders received from tax authorities and preparing rectification application and appeals to be filed with the tax authorities
