Role Objective :
- The Head HR position is responsible for developing and implementing an overall strategy for labor relations, such as union handling, employee retention, grievance procedures, disciplinary actions, statutory compliance and labor policy to support an excellent work environment and compliance with labor regulations.
- This position provides guidance to employees and management on all HR policies and procedures. This individual will be the first point of contact for any incoming questions pertaining to HR/IR functions
Job Description :
- Union avoidance tactics, with strong knowledge of Industrial Relations Act.
- Managing and negotiating union collective bargaining agreement experience
- Strong knowledge and experience working with employment laws governing the workplace is required
- Demonstrated problem solving, judgment and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner.
- Provide monthly metrics pertaining to employee concerns/issues, corrective actions and performance improvement plans
- Accountable for the tracking of Labor and Employee related expenses
- Excellent organizational, analytical, written and interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
- MSW/MLM with 15 to 20 Yrs of Experience in leading HR/IR functions.
- Manufacturing background preferred
