Owns and operates World's largest next generation IP enabled connectivity infrastructure, comprising over 150,000 kilometers of fiber optic cable systems in India, USA, Europe, Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.

Position: AGM/DGM/GM, Strategy and Planning - IT Function

Reporting to: CIO

Experience Required: 10-15 years

Qualifications: B.E/B.Tech + MBA (Tier 1/Tier 2)

Job Purpose:

Play key role in defining how organization's IT can serve Consumer and Enterprise Business, driven by trends such as Smartphone & mobile broadband growth, digital lifestyles, over-the-top services and SMAC stack.

Understand key trends globally and in India around "digital" consumer

1. Work with analysts, vendors and others in understanding key trends globally and in India

2. Study over-the-top services offerings and relevance for the organization

3. Work Closely with TM Forum and Gartner to provide strategic insights on new business opportunities

Provide thought leadership on Organization's IT Strategy

1. Present options for Org. basis insights into global and local trends in key areas such as OTT, Regulatory, LTE, Mobile Apps and Open Source Initiatives

2. Develop frameworks for evaluating options and making recommendations for new IT requirements

3. Present regular Competitive IT Benchmarking Reports

4. Responsible for Introduction of new technology in the area of Social, Mobile, Cloud and Analytics ; Contribute towards Business promotion and to reduce the IT cost

5. Be part of various cross-functional teams involved in defining how Org. IT can serve the digital consumer and become a digital organization
