Agile Coach

Graduate degree in Comp Sc or related subjects such as IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.

Any Travel requirement in the job and % of travel - Travel readiness is very important.

This may include travel with in India as well as abroad.

Onsite travel may need 2 to 8 weeks of stay.

Desired candidate profile :

- Certification in coaching, Certification in agile methods

EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING AGILE PROJECTS WITH DISTRIBUTED TEAMS IN ONSITE-OFFSHORE MODEL

- At least 5+ years of experiencing multiple agile projects of team sizes varying from 5 to 20. Experience in handling large teams (20 to 50 and more) is desirable.

- Must be a hands-on Agile project manager or Scrum Master (Those who played Quality Analyst or SQA role in implementing processes are not preferred)

- Experience in selling Agile to customers, and articulating the fitment of Agile methods and practices for different project situations is a must

- Must have experience in software estimation and applying estimation techniques suited for Agile projects

- Must be aware of more than 1 Agile Method (such as Scrum, XP, DSDM, etc.)

- Must have experience in implanting Agile in more than one pricing model and know the pros and cons

- Strong hold on Agile practices (Engineering practices, project management practices and so on)

- Proven experience in working with geographically distributed teams and implementing effective governance mechanism

WITH VERY GOOD COMM (SPOKEN AND WRITTEN), PRESENTATION, FACILITATION, AND CUSTOMER MGMT SKILLS REQUIRED

The candidate must be,

- well-versed in spoken and written English

- able to create presentations with minimum review support

- able to conduct presentation sessions to customers and teams

- a confident and effective meeting facilitator and negotiator

- able to write proposals, point-of-view documents (blogs, articles, white papers), etc.

EXPERIENCE IN CONDUCTING TRAINING PROGRAMS/WORKSHOPS AND VERY GOOD FACILITATION SKILLS

The candidate must be,

- experienced in conducting training programs or workshops on Agile methods, Agile practices

- able to assess projects and provide suggestions

- a very good subject matter expert and collaborator

PARTICIPATION IN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FORUMS (WRITING+SPEAKING+ORGANIZING, ETC.)

- Active participation in discussion forums, conferences, workshops, seminars is a must

- Must have the potential to contribute to writing, speaking and organizing such events. Prior experience is a big plus.

- COACHING / MENTORING SKILLS A MUST.

- Must have prior experience in working with teams as Agile Coach

- Must be result-oriented and implement continuous improvement in project teams

- Must be able to build trust, confidence and become a ‘go-to’ SME

Work with project teams, enable agile transition, handhold project teams in the first 2 or 3 iterations

Selling and Winning

- Contribute to pre-sales situations and win projects

- Present our Agile Capability and success stories

- Write successful proposals, and create effective presentations

- Actively engage with pre-sales teams and customer contacts in creating a positive impression

Enable Agile Transition

- Propose, plan and initiate Agile adoption in projects

- Create a transition road map

- Work closely with project stakeholders

- As ‘Agile Coach’ work with project teams during the initial 2 or 3 iterations, hand-hold project teams and enable them to perform

- Provide timely inputs to Delivery Managers and get adequate support when needed

- Create and Share Success Stories

- Create and share success stories with internal stakeholders

- Become an active contributor in internal and external forums
