FUND CONTROLLER

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, administration, and financial reporting for US private equity / hedge / credit funds SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle)

- US GAAP accounting expertise

- Collaborate effectively with onshore/offshore team as well as an ability to work independently

- Growth mindset to create efficient workplace and an ability to resolve internal differences

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Inter CA / CA / CPA is mandatory

- Responsibilities:

As an individual contributor being responsible for following:

- Periodic accounting

- Preparation of books and records

- Preparation of NAV and financial statements

- Preparation of waterfall calculations including performance reporting

- Help in audits

- Ad hoc reporting for internal consumption

- Compliance with the fund agreements

- Initially being an individual contributor and thereafter help build the India Finance team

- Oversee and manage team

- Review the work of the team

- Support US Finance team

For our partner, a next-generation alternative platform, we seek to hire a supervisor with strong fund controller capabilities and then help build the India Finance team. The firm aims to generate alpha across asset classes and capital structures for all market conditions. It provides investment advice and opportunities to its clients related to a variety of investment strategies, including, but not limited to, private equity, credit, and insurance and reinsurance solutions. The firm was recently launched and currently had $9.5 billion in assets under management.
