Aero Plast - Head - Operations

Job description :

- The role of the head of operations is quite vast as it would include wide aspect such as procurement, supplier analysis, and end-to-end management of the supply chain cycle. The following are the specific job responsibilities:

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement organizational-wide integrated supply chain strategies to facilitate the cost-effective flow of materials

- Lead, direct, and control all supply and logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, quality and cost effectiveness of the organizations supply chain

- Formulate, set target, and lead annual procurement cost improvement plans through supplier strategies, negotiation and best cost suppliers

- Establish targets in areas such as transit and delivery times, inventory level, purchasing, warehousing, and storage costs

- Clearly set service standards and monitor the performance of all supply and logistics activities against these goals

- Negotiate, maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate relationships and contracts with suppliers and vendors

- Onboard new suppliers and vendors, if and when required

- Ensure the organization has a reliable supply of materials and services that meet its standards of quality, timeliness, and cost

- Proactively work with the production function to ensure supply and logistics strategies are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall business objectives

- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities in such areas

- Develop and implement an evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance to the organizations needs and quality measures

- Prepare annual budgets for all cost centers in the department

- Advance sourcing practices to create a competitive advantage in cost, product performance, service fulfillment performance, and working capital

- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop team to ensure that the organizations supply chain strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines and budgets

- Extensive knowledge in handling the end-to-end supply chain management cycle.
