Job Description
This job will augment the Financial Reporting team by taking up the current BAU tasks to manage Reporting for Shareholders, Regulatory and Statutory including closure of financial statements & engagement with the auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely preparation and closure of financial statements on a monthly basis as per Local GAAP and Regulatory norms
- Steer and support statutory audit process (half year/ interim / final audit) and get the financial statements certified
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of regulatory returns via BAP module and other formats as required
- Support ICoFR process around all the financial accounting and reporting to ensure that all require-ments of company level internal control framework are addressed.
- Develop appropriate system/reports to aid in the management and mining of financial information
- Enhance process efficiencies and analytics design pertaining to financial reporting.
- Assist in exercising other critical reporting reviews
- Maintain updated documentation of all key processes in financial closure and recurring reporting's to the regulator & shareholder
- Mentor and coach subordinates and develop the team's capabilities
Position Qualifications / competencies
- Chartered Accountant with 6+ years- experience in life insurance industry working for financial re-porting.
- Expert knowledge of Ms Excel and working knowledge of SQL
- Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to manage key stakeholder relationships across the organization.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver within scheduled timelines
