Designation : Assistant Manager / Manager - Product Development & Management

Reporting to : Senior Manager - Product Development & Management

Location : Head Office - Mumbai

Function : Product Development & Management

KEY PURPOSE

- Person would be primarily responsible for analyzing of life insurance products of the competition vis--vis products of Aegon Life Insurance, Assist in filing, testing and launch of new products and prepare tools for distribution.

- Person should have sound knowledge of financial market and insurance concepts.

- Additional responsibility will be to act as a knowledge SPOC for IRDAI regulations / guidelines. and existing products (F&U perspective)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC :

Acquire complete knowledge of the IRDAI regulations/ guidelines/circulars issued by IRDA and other authorities and update oneself from time to time.

FINANCIAL :

Assist in preparation of concept note, system specifications, marketing material, Policy contract, Proposal form for IRDAI filing of new products and assist in pre-launch activities to ensure launch of new products on agreed timelines.

PROCESS :

Conduct product testing and coordinate with cross- functional teams to ensure correct system setup.

CUSTOMER :

- Preparation of Training content.

- Assist in preparation of Sales enablers, Sales tools, and Competition comparisons

- Regular competition analysis to track the domestic life insurance market

PEOPLE :

Manage platform used to answer specific queries related to products or processes related to products.

KEY CRITICAL COMPETENCIES :

- Excellent in MS Office (Excel (including Macros) / Powerpoint / Word)

- Excellent Knowledge of LI Products and IRDAI regulations

- Excellent Observation and Analytical skills along with eye for details

- Excellent inter-personal skills

PROFILE :

- Min graduate, post graduate preferred

- Min experience 1-2 years if having prior Product experience; else min. 3-4 years in case of prior experience in LI sales, training.
