A funded start-up, based out of Mumbai, and focused on forensics & management of risk. We seek out to disrupt the way lending decisions are made and credit monitored. We envision being the trusted Value protection partner for financial institutions through differentiated products and services - all enabled by advanced and cutting-edge technology.

We are passionate about being a catalyst in changing the culture of credit being made available to corporates & prevent cataclysmic impact of bad credit decisions on the economy.

The Team :

The founders have in the aggregate over 50 years of experience in financial services spanning credit assessment, financial research, forensic & fraud analytics. We have, in the past, developed a robust platform for delivery of timely forensic insights and enjoy strong relationships across the financial services ecosystem. We specialize in assisting financial institutions with their investment decisions from a forensic perspective.

Position : Co-founder & CTO

Location : Mumbai

Role :

- You are responsible for setting up the technology infrastructure, modelling the technology design and developing platforms and tools that are central to the firm's offerings. The technology platform is expected to scale up significantly and will be the key to the firm's future growth and profitability.

- You are expected to be fully hands-on and drive the execution from inception through architecture, design, and implementation through to on-going operational support. You are a key player in product development & its commercial roll-out.

- You will lead the technical team that would build the product platform which converts our idea into reality and scale up the venture. You are a key member of the leadership team comprising of highly focused and energetic individuals who work in an apolitical setup where all that is valued is merit and collaboration.

Responsibilities :

- Core member of the founding team and lead the technical aspects of the venture

- Lead the development and delivery of a multi-year technological road map ensuring the deployment of architectural solutions that are secure, scalable, comprehensible & maintainable

- End to end responsibility for the product technology from evaluation & identification of appropriate technology platforms to architecture, design and build (in-house or outsourced)

- Create the entire information architecture of the company

- Set the tone for best practices in technical operations - architecture, design, project management, coding & testing and rigidly adhere to their implementation, adjusting as needed

- Conceptualize & deploy information security framework

- Recruit, mentor, build & lead best-in-class technology team

- Communicate the technology vision, opportunities & challenges to key stakeholders viz. employees, customers, & investors

Desired skills :

- 8 - 12 years of experience working across data modelling, database design & enterprise SOA architecture, REST services

- Strong proficiency in MySQL or comparable RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server with strong SQL fundamentals and a nice-to-have expertise in creating PL/SQL blocks

- Experience in implementing, managing & optimizing database solutions

- Awareness and flexibility to adapt evolving methodologies and technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL and Graph Databases, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark R, and Cloud Tech

- Proven ability to visualize and design database models that scale, and can adapt to serve an evolving business model

- Superior design thinking with high bar for quality standards

- Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular MVC framework

- Experience in data extraction, transformation & load working with structured/ unstructured datasets

- Proficiency in at least one object oriented language - Java / Python

- Experience in creating data extraction and analysis scripts using Python or comparable scripting language & 3rd party API integration (NLP experience is a nice-to-have)

- Proven experience in iterative development lifecycles with the use of related supporting technologies such as JIRA

- Experience and ability to setup software processes, organization planning and building activities such as hiring and coaching teams

- Knowledge of Core Banking Solutions or Financial systems is a plus

- Exposure to algorithms (anomaly detection, etc.) is a plus
