Business/Department Objectives:

CRS Risk- Advanced Analytics team is responsible for Cross Portfolio analytics. The Risk team, along with other functional groups, is expected to deliver incremental value on the both ends of the risk spectrum using the new tools and data sources by continuously refining the segmentation criteria and optimizing the loss and profitability metrics. This will include extensive use of alternate data available from Digital environment & Big Data tools like Hadoop, Python, R, Java, Platfora, etc.

Core Responsibilities:

Conceptualizing and executing various Risk Management Big Data initiatives across all Retail Services portfolios. Exploring new Big Data tools and techniques to optimize Risk strategies and to develop the relevant skill pool within Retail Services Risk team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing Big Data ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth and loss mitigation goals

Must have capability to clearly communicate analysis

Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required to be made frequently as part of the job

Ability to work efficiently in a matrix environment balancing between both business and functional interactions and priorities

Key Deliverables:

To clearly formulate analytical hypothesis

Perform ad-hoc analysis to support it, communicate results clearly, and understand cause and effect relationships

Support approved strategies through implementation

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Skills:

Strong analytics/predictive modeling experience

Enterprise experience of working with:

- Graph Theory, and/or

- Machine Learning algorithms, and/or

- Text Mining

- Strong programming skills in Python/R

- Hands-on exposure of working with the Big Data stack: Hadoop MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, HBase, Mahout, Spark, Storm

Other:

Exposure to project/process management

Strong communication and presentation skills targeting a variety of audiences

A qualified candidate needs to be able to work with cross functional teams

Creates and sustains a network of strong client relationships

Flexibility in approach and thought process

Ability to work effectively across portfolio risk policy teams and functional areas teams

Strong influencing, negotiating, and facilitation skills

Analytical mindset

Skills:

Financial Services industry experience especially in Risk Analytics is preferred
