Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

- Contributes to data science activities including data mining, machine learning and/or statistical analysis using appropriate techniques or technologies.

- Collaborates, communicates, and educates other staff to improve general understanding of analytical and prediction models.

- Structure work, frame issues, and produce analyses that answer complex business questions in a pragmatic approach.

- Be able to navigate data sources from converting raw data into meaningful and actionable insights to gathering qualitative information from stakeholders.

- Make intelligent tradeoffs between information available and provide innovative solutions even in situations where all the desired data may or may not be available.

- Responsible for developing and communicating business requirements to Business Intelligence team in order to operationalize and automate recurring analyses.

- Demonstrates Leadership skills including: communicates authentically; strong business acumen; ability to execute strategic vision; takes accountability for driving excellent results; manages change and ambiguity.

- Ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Ph. D. or Masters in applied statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

- 3 to 6 years of experience in analytics, research, predictive modeling, and/or statistics.

- Moderate to advanced skill in data manipulation and analysis using R / SAS.

- Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

- Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Excellent verbal, written communication and data presentation skills.

- Experience in lean or six sigma considered a plus.

Salary Range: 8-15 LPA
