AdNear - Data Scientist

Role Summary / Purpose

AdNear aims to connect people with the most relevant marketing information utilizing location and user behaviour. Achieving this goal involves deep understanding of graph analysis, machine learning and spatial data mining. AdNear is looking for applied data scientists who can yield insights from the enormous amount of data we acquire every day.

Function/Industry Type: Mobile Advertising/ Big Data

Reporting to (Primary): VP-Data

Experience: 5+ Years of experience in the field.

Education:

- Bachelors/Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or any quantitative discipline.

Skills:

- Experience with statistical environments like R or Pandas.

- Knowledge in using discrete math, probability, and statistics to answer complex questions.

- Work with engineering on building and deploying data analysis systems for large data sets.

- Create algorithms to extract information from data sets.

- Well versed in model development, model validation, model implementation.

- Develop metrics and prototypes that can be used to drive business decisions.

Apply data-mining, machine learning and/or graph analysis techniques for a variety of modelling and relevance problems.

Interact with product & engineering teams to help devise appropriate measurements and metrics.
