Position: Sr. Manager / Manager - Legal

Location: Elphinstone Road

Job Purpose :

The job holder is responsible for assisting the reporting line manager on various investment legal matters in timely and orderly manner.

Job Description :

Role & Responsibilities :

1. Independently drafting, reviewing and vetting legal agreements/notices/deeds & such as other legal documents pertaining to debt securities related documentation such as NCD, pass through certificates, corporate/DSRA guarantee, non disclosure documents; ISMA/ISDA etc

2. Maintaining tracker for legal agreements and the provisions thereto.

3. Has comprehensive understanding of contractual terms, policies and procedures, legal risk and liability on legal matters.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills :

- Qualification - LLB/ LLM from a reputed law college

- Experience - Approx. 5 to 8 years (preferably in law firms)

- Hands on experience with the laws pertaining to securitisation guidelines, SARFAESI, Debt listing etc

- Legal expertise in independently drafting, vetting legal agreements/notices/deeds & such as other legal documents pertaining to loan documentation, corporate/DSRA guarantee, non disclosure documents; etc

- Knowledge of ISDA/ISMA transactions and ability to close the legal review of the documents in consultation with the investment team.

- Ability to perform due diligence of legal documents and underlying

- Ability to manage interactions with internal investment department & external legal firms;

- Hands on experience to review the legal firms credentials and assigning it to significant transactions with an ability to negotiate on legal fees.

- Ability to liaison with counsels for litigation wrt the above.
