Actuary Pricing Role - Life Insurance

Note:

We have openings at Multiple levels - Manager/Sr Manager/Above Senior Manager

We are Qualified Actuary / 1-2 paper short actuary professionals

We are preferring people from Life Insurance - Actuary Pricing.

Responsibilities

- Technical/Peer review of quotes with minimal supervision within the agreed timelines and the established quality standards

- Research and develop areas of pricing expertise as required to handle non-standard quotes.

- Completing necessary data analytics for the purpose of setting reasonable assumptions for pricing. This includes regular experience monitoring and research work

- Responsible for maintaining and reviewing complete and accurate pricing documentation

- Work with BD, underwriting and claims to develop innovative and mutually beneficial business solution for the queries coming from clients. This includes new products and reinsurance structures design

- Lead projects related to the data analytics and other operational efficiency

- Work closely with Regional Pricing team to support product development and other pricing related updates and reviews.

Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Qualified actuary from a recognized actuarial association with minimum 6 years of experience in handling various aspects of the actuarial or analytical function of an insurance/reinsurance/financial business

- Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

- Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received

Preferred:

- Strong IT skills - sound working knowledge of MS Office and other statistical software like R.

- Experience with AXIS or similar Actuarial software

- Ability to handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

- Advanced investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Advanced presentation and PowerPoint skills
