Responsibilities:
- As a seasoned Actuary, you will be accountable for providing invaluable insights and guidance to our clients and engagement teams
- Build strong relationships and credibility with our clients.
- You will lead business development efforts in areas of insurance and actuarial consulting working closely with cross-functional consultants across risk management, accounting, digital, tax, strategy.
- Lead client responses (RFP/RFI etc.) and client pitches
- Define target state and transition architectures and roadmaps
- Evaluate the insurance technology landscape for emerging technologies, patterns and solutions that can benefit & our clients, not just restricted to IFRS / Ind AS systems
- Explore new actuarial software models and likely model validations
- Keep up to date with competitive insights and market trends.
- You will be responsible for leading large, often multi-disciplinary teams, identifying team member development needs and accelerating development with emphasis on managing and mentoring engagement team members, coaching and skills transfer.
- Take an active role in the performance management process by completing goal setting, interim review, and year-end review on a timely basis and soliciting ongoing feedback
Qualifications - Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Statistics or equivalent
Qualified / close to qualified actuary:
- 12-15 years of deep actuarial and insurance experience at either a Financial Services (FS) organization or a leading actuarial consulting background
- Experience in consulting is preferred, thought not mandatory
- Proven track record of a deep understanding of actuarial elements and ability to cross-link and connect the dots with other facets within the insurance domain
- Ability to lead a team and work independently when required, taking ownership of complex modules, and delivering them
- A highly motivated individual, effective and confident communicator with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
