Actuarial Consultant - Insurance

 Location: Pune

Roles & Responsibilities: 

1. Manage a team of actuarial analysts working on life insurance actuarial tasks

2. Ensuring timely and quality delivery, minimizing and handling escalations, acting as a bridge between home office team and Pune team

3. Completing all managerial tasks - appraisals, setting right expectations, challenging team members to move up the value chain, holding 1-1s, workflow management.

4. Provides techno functional guidance to the project team. Should Have in-depth of technical/functional knowledge in one or more actuarial domains like pricing, reserving, reporting and risk management

5. Should be able to guide and mentor consultants and analysts in the team. S/He partners with analysts, senior and lead analysts and consultants and senior consultants in requirements gathering and reviews.

7The candidate should complete and lead the team to complete actuarial tasks using organization standards toolsets

8. The person should plan for evolutionary paths and be innovative and hence explore automation opportunities.

Skillset: 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Maths/Science/Statistics/Engineering. Preferable CT series completed with ST2.

- Reserving of life insurance products, Risk based capital, Solvency II

- Reporting functions, ALM, Experience studies, Modelling, Risk Management

- Data base management using SAS, R

- Prior knowledge of actuarial software ALPHA and exposure to Life Insurance actuarial work in US market would be an advantage

- Exposure to risk Identification and mitigation processes.

Other: Excellent analytical, solutioning and problem-solving skills. Expertise in one or more technologies, technical designing and business domains. Can review estimations, excellent interpersonal skills and competencies
