The basic role of an IT Operations Manager will be to manage the IT team so that the operational work will flow smoothly and will adhere to procedure. He/She will be in charge of defining , implementing and modifying the way the organization will direct day to day work in the IT department including monitoring network infrastructure and resolving system issues with the ultimate aim of delivering solutions to our clients within predetermined framework and timeline.

Responsibilities -

- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

- Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency

- Help the organization's processes remain legally compliant

- Formulate strategic and operational objectives

- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability

- Manage budgets and forecasts

- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs

- Recruit, train and supervise staff

- Find ways to increase quality of customer service

- Research the latest information technology security trends.

- Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program to ensure that the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information is owned, controlled or processed by the organization.

- Design, deploy and test effectiveness of policies and procedures as per Industry standards.

Job Requirements and Skills :

- Technical skills - IT operations managers should have extensive training on computer software and hardware, including servers and systems, to successfully lead IT departments

- Team leadership - because they direct and lead teams of IT technicians, IT operations managers should be able to effectively manage IT personnel and set department priorities

- Process enhancement - in this role, IT managers develop and implement policies and procedures for the IT department, so some familiarity with assessing and improving processes is vital

- Communication skills - IT operations managers should also be strong written and verbal communicators, able to communicate with team members, management personnel, and end users throughout the organization

- Problem-solving skills - this role also requires excellent problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to directly addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers

- Budget management - IT operations managers oversee department budgets and capital expenditures, so they need strong financial management and budgeting skills

- Prior experience in the SAAS / Technology / Startup industry and knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, OWASP frameworks, GDPR, and other cyber security guideline is required.

- Working knowledge of Cloud environments like AWS, GCP, Azure is required

- Working knowledge and implementation of IAM, SDLC, DevOps

- Establishing and working with DevOps team in Agile Methodologies

- Exposure to Agile methodologies, Cloud technologies

Required Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT field

- Minimum 5 years' experience as IT Operations Manager

Educational Qualification & Certification:

- Minimum B.Tech (IT) / BE/MTECH (Preferable)

- Those with Project Management Certifications will have preference
