Job Description for Accounts Officer

About the Company

One of the emerging companies of UAE with its operations in trading. It is also involved in the reprocessing of petro chemical products.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure that letters of credit are in compliance with banking regulations and financial institution policies.

- Prepare the documents needed for LC processing and submission.

- Review completeness of documentation and prepares document transmittals.

- Make recommendations for improving policies to support letter of credit.

- Answer customer inquiries regarding bank policy and specific letter of credit financing.

- Maintain letter of credit files and status reports.

- Keep a track of timely renewal of documents.

- Determine payment details according to letter of credit agreements.

- Negotiation of export / import shipping documents with Bank.

- Ensure proper document classification, sorting, filing and proper archiving.

Qualifications

- A post graduation degree in Finance like M.Com or any other equivalent degree/certification.

- Graduation Degree with 5+ Years of experience in relevant profile.

- Well versed in Microsoft Office products.

- Experience in SAP Business One Solutions will be an added advantage.

Professional Knowledge/Experience

- Experience of 5 years in similar role.

- Knowledge on Finance related matters.

- Experience in Banking for 2-3 years with clarity about current regulations and policies.

- Must have worked in GCC countries for a minimum of 3 years.

- Should be able to prioritize, manage time well, multi-task and trouble-shoot.

- Must have excellent interpersonal and communicating skills.

- Should be highly motivated and be able to work independently.

- Able to carry out tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

- Strong analytical skills for monitoring accounting records.
