Accounting Specialist - Financial Reporting

This position will report to the Senior Manager Accounting and Compliance and will also work closely with the accounting and finance teams based in Delhi.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Specialist's responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

Accounting and Financial Reporting

- Ensure implementation of accounting policies and internal controls

- Contribute to accurate quarterly consolidation of financial results

- Oversee regular reconciliations of balance sheet and intercompany accounts

- Prepare monthly and reconciliation journal entries

- Upload batch reports to the accounting system

- Prepare accounting and financial reports as needed

- Prepare quarterly consolidation of financial results under US GAAP

- Ensure intercompany accounts balance to zero

- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis

- Ensure all required accruals and adjustments

- Contribute to annual audit of US GAAP consolidated financial statements

- Ensure processes and documentation are in place to support all compliance requirements

Other Finance and Compliance Activities

- Assist in country compliance related projects and statutory filings

- Support donor and client due diligence needs related to financial compliance

- Act as backup for other finance functions

- Support other global financial, accounting, and related tasks, as and when required
