About our Client - Our client is one of the leading European fashion retail players with a significant presence across the globe. They are widely regarded as pioneers in the space, and have always been at the fore front of developing trendy and affordable clothes and accessories for their customers across age groups. Currently, they are looking at entering the India market, and are looking to recruit an Accounting Manager as a part of their central management team, based out of Delhi NCR.

Job Description - Reporting to the Country Head and Country Finance Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Managing reconciliations, balance sheets, profit & loss statements and general ledgers

- Overseeing and Preparing Indian Management Accounts

- Managing yearly statutory audit and tax returns with the help of external partners

- Overseeing tax planning and compliances for India

- Generating and ensuring accuracy of required accounting reports as per local Indian GAAP

- Preparing the monthly cash flow & performing analytical review of financial statements

- Managing and developing the India accounting team while ensuring all employee relation responsibilities are fulfilled

The Successful Candidate - You will be a Chartered Accountant with at least 6 years of post qualification experience in a services oriented industry. Prior experience in a fast moving consumer goods or retail industry is preferred. The client is looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively. Previous experience in IFRS is preferred. Considering that the company is a startup in India, you should be comfortable working in a challenging and demanding work environment.
