Accountant - OCOGS

Mission (Why does this role exist?) and Scope (About the Job):

- Responsible for other cost of sales (OCOGS) accounting and related analysis, including freight accruals, and any indirect cost accruals associated with the monthly financial close.

- This position requires excellent analytical skills, accounting skills, ERP system skills, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to perform in a high volume and fast- paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes (What the Person needs to accomplish in the role?):

- Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month- end close activities related to OCOGS transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll forwards along with required SOX documentation.

- Preparation and analysis for effective understanding OCOGS

- Working with Finance, Operations, IT during design, and conduct UAT testing of and processed as needed to automate mundane processes Understand Oracle system flow and process optimization projects within the overall procure- to- pay process, in partnership with IT.

- Ad Hoc reporting and analytical support for Operations and Finance teams

Qualifications: Education, Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour) and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business Administration MBA or CMA or CA or CPA

- Solid accounting and finance foundation surrounding supply chain operations, inventory accounting and procure- to- pay process

- Previous Oracle or SAP or any standard ERP experience is required

- Advanced Excel skills are required

- Strong communicator, analytical mind and always thinking of ways to streamline and improve processes

- Knowledge on Cost accounting and detailed understanding of US GAAP

- Strong personal integrity and highest ethical standards
