Our client is a global company that designs and manufactures electronic and bio-analytical measurement instruments and equipment for measurement and evaluation.

Now we have this opening for an Account Manager - Research & Academia sales with the mentioned client in Delhi.

- Account Manager will responsible for selling of company systems and solutions to end-user customers in Research & Academia market in assigned geographic, territory or accounts. In this role you will be responsible for driving and sales of Life Science product line of Chromatography and Spectroscopy. You will be responsible for the sales of high performance Liquid (LC) & Gas Phase Chromatography (GC) system, LC & GC Mass spectrometer and also Spectroscopy range of products like UV, FTIR, AAS, ICP-MS.

- You will be responsible for developing customers & their satisfaction in Research & Academia market. As an Account Manager you will be representing the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities. You will be working closely with Product Specialist, Application Engineers and carry a quota for Research & Academia market. You will be expected to develop accounts and implement strategies to position the company solutions in Research & Academia market space.

This role will report to Sales Operating Manager, North, Life Sciences Group.

ACCOUNT MANAGER - RESEARCH & ACADEMIA - Delhi

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Works on sales assignments with broadly defined objectives in Research & Academia market.

- Interprets customer needs and works to meet those needs; identifies potential business opportunities, able to handle complex leads independently.

- Should be capable to work on large projects & tenders.

- Working aggressively in underrepresented territories and promoting product portfolio.

- Solves non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization

- Understand the workflow, tender business & purchase process of Research & Academia market.

- Work closely with TOP research Institutes and create a reference & Key Opinion leaders for company products.

- Work closely with Product Specialist of different Product line to ensure correct solutions & demos are provided to customer.

- Work closely with Business Development Managers of Research & Academia.

- Work closely with marketing team, devising Research & Academia specific Marketing plans implementing the same.

- Should use CRM tool for effective Account Management.

- Targeting competitive accounts and winning these accounts for the company, by building relationships, & providing correct solutions.

Identify future business potential in Key Accounts & Strategic accounts and focus on driving company's portfolio in Research & Academia.

- Ability to work in a team with a passion for sales and a go getter.

External Qualifications : Should possess in depth knowledge & understanding of Research & Academia & Institutional market.

- Knowledge of Chromatography, mass spectrometry & Spectroscopy is desirable.

- Should have worked in Research & Academia.

- Demonstrated ability to work across a multinational organization and to operate effectively between cross functional teams.

- Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Bio-Chemistry/Life Sciences with MBA & minimum 7 - 13 years of related experience.

Willing to travel extensively.
