ACCOUNT DIRECTOR-CLIENT SERVICING


POSITION SUMMARY :


- Plan budgets and activities for account management in the company

- Set up goals and objectives for all delivery teams

- Provide feedback and counsel to account staff to meet objectives

- Conduct performance evaluation using key metrics

- Serve as the point of contact for clients in the portfolio

- Understand customer requirements and needs to offer suitable solutions and generate new business

- Ensure the timely delivery of services and products to clients

- Resolve issues to maintain and strengthen customer trust

- Read reports of subordinates and communicate overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholders

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Client Servicing :

- Lead, maintain and grow key client relationships across all accounts assigned to you and your team; overseeing all client activity. Act as senior point of contact; developing wider relationships within clients to organically grow the account

- Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing clients

- Arrange pitches and proposals of new/existing clients through effective leadership and facilitation, inspiring and engaging internal teams

- Become an expert in your client's industries, monitoring competitor activity and discuss potential ideas for the development of the overall strategic direction of the account helping strengthen your client's role within that business

- Maximize turnover on each client assigned to you and your team; ensure both forecasted targets and client objectives are met

- Work with your client to identify yearly turnover forecast, based on their business strategy and available budget. Manage these forecast predictions on each project/account assigned to you and your team; maintain and ensure accuracy

- Provide valuable insights from the client's industries including customer, market and technology trends to help create engaging solutions that respond to those insights and add real value to their brands

- Lead client presentations; developing scopes and programs in advance for clients that are aligned to the client's overall business strategy. Mentor your wider team to ensure they develop skills in this area

- Plan and run quarterly review meetings with key client account teams reviewing process, performance, team, creative strategy, financial and planning for the next quarter

- Identify risk on account or client issues as they arise, provide support on areas of concern or issues across your wider team and their accounts

- Input into how overall team is managed and suggest methods to be implemented to further improve on how your team works or needs to work to address specific client needs

- Lead discussions on agreed client strategies both internally and externally

- Focus on service, retention, growth and profitability of each client

- Provide weekly update on sales forecast across your entire team, highlighting key movements and potential areas for growth or risk. Report this information to management on a weekly basis

- Collate and review financial reconciliations across you/your teams projects/accounts on a monthly basis

Resource Planning and Strategy :

- Work closely with the senior management team to ensure resource is planned accurately, efficiently and financial matches the fee totals allowed for on individual projects or accounts

- Ensure adequate resource is assigned to each client; work with your team of direct reports to ensure that projects are planned accurately with an agreed scope being developed across all disciplines; plan ahead for future developments and discuss potential areas of growth with the Studio Director or the wider management team

- Plan resource levels for the account team assigned to you and share your thoughts on this with the Studio Director regularly to ensure the team are utilized to full capacity; whilst performing and progressing against their individual objectives

- Make recommendations and discuss any recruitment requirements directly with the Studio Director, aligned against the forecasted turnover

- Complete and post time sheets on a daily basis

Team Management :

- Lead and mentor a team from Account Executive level to Account Manager; ensuring each team member develops and progresses against their career path; oversee, input and conduct annual appraisal as necessary

- Encourage by example, build a positive team environment and promote strong team relationships

- Display encouragement, consideration and respect for all team members, working with them to immediately resolve any issues that arise

- Have weekly meetings with your team of direct reports to discuss client accounts, progress of individual projects and overall performance. Work with the team to ensure resource requirements are being met and help to identify any potential issues before they arise

- Constantly review overall team structure and suggest ideas to update to strengthen team dynamics or increase performance on a client specific level
