Accessories Designer - Gems & Jewellery Firm

Looking for an Accessories Designer to be a part of a new upcoming independent design and production studio working in partnership with a well-known US based fashion accessory brand. It's a promising start-up with a small and a growing team. We aspire to work very hard and our get our hands dirty while getting the work done within a lot of constraints (particularly budget and time). The studio will be based in Delhi, India which would work in accordance with the brand in US.

Core Area : Sourcing, Product Development, Sampling

Your Day-to-day work would be like:-

- Working on new prototypes.

- Regular follow-up and assistance for new product developments through sampling artisans.

- Researching similar products and developing ideas

- Travelling to wholesale markets, identifying, and sourcing relevant designs/materials as per themes, details and requirements.

- Assisting/Training artisan groups in developing the product.

- Making trim cards, technical specification documents as and when required.

Skill Set and qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree or diploma in design, or college degree in lifestyle accessory design / jewelry design / Fashion Design or related field.

- Excellent coordination and communication skills.

- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, Corel, and MS office.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Must be willing to take ownership of all relevant aspects of the tasks assigned.

Additional

- Should be Comfortable - Working from office- and remote if required.

- Open to travel to factories, vendors, and markets for sourcing and new product development.

- Lifestyle Accessory Designer from NIFT or equivalent design school is a plus

- Technical know-how in terms Jewelry design is a plus.
