JD: Consultant - CMT Analytics
Resourceful and motivated individual for leading the CMT Analytics team. As a Consultant in CMT Analytics, we help the clients with Analytical solution at every stage with Complex machine/M2M learning algorithms & techniques. He/she should be strong in advance/predictive analytics.
Responsibilities/Authorities
Digital analytics consultant is responsible to help the clients with analytics solution at every stage - From media buying to implementation of the campaign and post-campaign analysis. He/she should be strong in web analytics fundamentals and should have good hands on experience working with the following:
- Ability to work with large data sets and present conclusions to key stakeholders; Data management using SQL
- Experience working on atleast one of the ad exchanges: DoubleClick Ad Exchange, Right Media Exchange, the Microsoft Advertising Exchange, AppNexus Exchange
- Good knowledge of KPIs, advertising platforms and ad types
- Campaign management
- Experience with Real Time Bidding process (preferred)
Support, monitor and manage all aspects of daily activities with :
- Pre-sales analytics
- Inventory optimization
- Inventory bundling
- Price optimization
- Post-Sales analytics like forecasting, Tag testing for placement of ads in different pages
- Campaign targeting
- Campaign tracking
- Post-campaign analysis
- Root-cause analysis
- Establish a consistent and collaborative presence with clients and act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients; escalate, track and solve client issues
- Become an expert in the businesses media buying platform
- Provide input and insights to help clients best achieve their goals through the businesses media buying platform
- Implement and launch campaigns and ensure their alignment with our clients objectives
- Partner with clients to understand end clients- business goals, marketing objectives, and competitive constraints
Understanding the online media marketplace to know their competitors, their approach and value proposition

Understanding & functional knowledge of web analytics for Communications, Media or Hi-Tech/Technology firms:
- Ability to interpret web logs
- Ability to interpret ad server logs
Experience in build and deployment of Statistical Models using following techniques - Statistical Algorithms (preferred in sequence):
- Monte Carlo/Monty Hall Simulation
- Segmentation (Cluster Analysis)
- Design of Experiment
- Exploratory Analytics (T-tests)
- Multivariate Regression (Logistic, OLS, GLM etc.)
- Decision Trees
- Time series & Non Linear Modeling
- Model Optimization
ETL Knowledge of Databases (Oracle, Greenplum, Teradata etc.) & Experience with SQL preferred
a) Traditional DB's - Oracle, TD, Sybase, MS SQL
b) Big Data stack - Greenplum, HBase, Mongo
- Big Data querying language - Hive, PIG, Hadoop
- Experience using digital & statistical modeling software (one or more) -
a) R, Revo R
b) SAS Basic & Enterprise Miner
c) Python
d) SPSS,
e) Matlab, Text Miner.
- Ability of Visual story-telling with BI & Visualisation Tools (Tableau/Spotfire, Cognos, Business Objects, -) is preferred.
- Project Management Experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical business people
- Self-Starter with ability to work independently across multiple projects and set priorities
- Willingness to Travel Internationally
- 4 - 8 years of experience in analytics teams solving problems for top global companies / research labs of firms
- Published papers related to analytics in technical / business journals (preferred)
Preferred Educational Background:
- MSc/MPhil. in Statistics/Economics/Mathematics / Engg. Degree from Top Colleges in India or Abroad
