Equity Research Associate

Role & responsibilities:

- Equity research of listed and unlisted companies across sectors and industries

- Keep a track of latest developments in the companies in client portfolios and under coverage

- Build and update company and industry models

- Create and maintain databases using data from different sources

- Read concall transcripts, annual reports, sell-side reports, etc.

- Provide BUY/SELL/HOLD recommendations and present findings to the investment committee

- Maintain constant coverage of industry-related news, trends, and developments. Disseminate your insight when appropriate to internal and external stakeholders.

- Build relationships with investor relations teams of your portfolio companies.

- Preparing detailed internal investment reports

- Build ability to spot and track stock market trends, and act on investment opportunities

Preferred candidate profile

- Profound understanding of equity markets and drive for equity research

- Deep understanding of fundamental analysis, financial modeling, asset allocation, and strategy research

- Ability to spend hours reading concall transcripts, annual reports, and sell-side research reports

- Ability to read and dissect financial statements quickly / financial statement analysis skills

- CFA/CA is a plus

- Advanced Excel proficiency. 3+ years of practical experience of using Excel

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Analytical thinking
