Main Tasks and Responsibilities  PLANNING & BUDGETING   - To participate in planning & organizing the information security with a vision for the future of information security at the Bank.  - To participate with Head of IT in establishing budget plan in terms of the Bank's information security activities.  - To contribute to the planning, development and roll out of Information Security training and awareness programs.  Bank's Information Security activities  - To advise, and recommend security features for IT hardware architecture and infrastructure requirements for various information systems.  - To develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of Information security policies, procedures and standards in line with ADCB HO policies and other regulatory requirements  - To design, and/or oversee penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities.  - To develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.  - To ensure that the logs of critical systems are reviewed regularly  - To design, and implement, reporting mechanism on security systems and end user activity audits.  - Manage and/or provide guidance to other junior members of the IT team  - Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.  - Recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.  - To Manage internal Bank's activities pertaining to the investigation, correction, prosecution, and disciplinary action needed for the resolution of information security breaches, violations, and incidents.   - To manage periodic Bank's risk assessments that identify current and future security vulnerabilities, determine what level of risk is acceptable to management, and identify the best ways to reduce information security risks to this acceptable level and notify management of residual risks.  - To establish and maintain strong working relationships with the Bank's groups involved with information security matters (Legal, Internal Audit, Physical Security, Information Security Management Committee, etc.)  - To act as the central point of contact within the Bank when it comes to all communications dealing with information security problems, issues, and concerns  Project management   - To Coordinate and direct the development, management approval, implementation, and promulgation of objectives, goals, policies, standards, guidelines, and other requirements needed to support information security throughout the Bank as well as within the Bank's business networks.  - To act as the primary liaison and decision-maker regarding the work of information security consultants, contractors, and outsourcing firms.   - To initiate and manage special projects related to information security which may be needed to appropriately respond to ad-hoc or unexpected information security events  Supporting the continuous processing enablement - By co-ordinating between business groups and the infrastructure group on BCP / DR activities and drills  Ensuring IT security  - By supporting the infrastructure team in accordance with approved policies to ensure  Confidentiality of Information  Integrity of Information  Availability of Information   Governance  - Define regular governance procedures with all vendors   - Track and ensure agreed SLAs have met with all vendors and internal teams.  - Track missed SLAs and report to the reporting manager for further action / discussion  - Provide current status and required project updates to reporting manager  - Support business teams with the regular reporting and MIS requirements  - Ensure change management processes are adhered to with the bank's agreed policy.  - Define change management processes with vendors and ensure this is in line with the bank's policy.  Project Management  - Apply project management skills to ensure the IT application / support projects are tracked within scope, time and budget.  - Ensure the program management teams have the required status on the current project tracking  - Highlight discrepancy, if any, in context to the current SLA to the reporting manager and the program management team
