Job description :

As our Resource Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving efficiency and optimisation in resource allocation. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our personnel are allocated strategically to support the seamless delivery of IT services. Overseeing and coordinating the allocation of resources, working with various teams, departments, and stakeholders. You'll make strategic decisions that will maximise our resource utilisation and drive effective and timely project execution. You'll have the power to make informed decisions that will optimise resource utilisation and propel our projects to success.

Role and Responsibilities:

Resource Planning: Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to identify resource requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects. Develop resource plans that align with project goals and timelines.

Resource Allocation: Assign available resources, such as personnel, to projects based on their availability, skills, and project requirements. Ensure the efficient utilization of resources and resolve conflicts or bottlenecks that may arise.

Capacity Management: Monitor and evaluate the capacity and workload of resources across projects. Identify potential resource constraints and take proactive measures to address them, such as hiring staff or reallocating resources. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to assess resource needs and forecast future requirements.

Resource Tracking and Reporting: Implement and maintain a comprehensive resource tracking system to monitor resource utilization, availability, and allocation across multiple projects. Provide accurate and up-to-date resource reports to senior management and project teams.

Resource Optimisation: Continuously evaluate resource utilisation and identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency. Recommend adjustments or reallocation of resources based on changing project priorities and resource availability.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among project managers, department heads, and resource teams. Act as a liaison between different teams to ensure smooth coordination and resolve resource-related issues.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve resource management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities for automation or streamlining resource allocation procedures.

Resource Forecasting: Conduct analysis and forecasting to anticipate future resource needs based on project pipelines, business growth, and other relevant factors. Collaborate with senior management to align resource planning with long-term strategic goals.

Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to project managers and team leaders on resource management best practices. Promote a culture of resource awareness and optimization throughout the organization.

Talent Management: Work closely with HR and department heads to identify skill gaps, develop training plans, and ensure a well-rounded and skilled workforce. Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives to enhance resource capabilities and flexibility.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and bottlenecks related to resource availability and allocation. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact and proactively address resource-related challenges.

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with project managers, department heads, and senior management to provide updates on resource allocation, capacity planning, managing weekly reporting to leadership with recommendation, understating sales pipeline, and work with the management to develop hiring plans. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and prioritise resource needs.

Requirements for the ideal Absolutelabs Candidate:

- A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) to provide you with a solid foundation for success.

- Proven experience in resource management or related roles, particularly in a project-based or dynamic environment.

- Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you assess resource requirements, identify constraints, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
