Technical Delivery Manager - Retail

As a Technical Delivery Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the delivery of technical solutions and services to retail clients. You will be responsible for managing a team of technical professionals, including software developers, Engineers, Architects, and analysts.

Your duties will include:

- Project Management: You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.

- Client Management: You will be the primary point of contact for clients and will work closely with them to understand their needs and requirements. You will manage client expectations, communicate project progress, and ensure that client needs are being met.

- Technical Leadership: You will provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including developing technical strategies and roadmaps, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that the team is up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

- Team Management: You will manage a team of technical professionals, including software developers, engineers and analyst. This includes training and mentoring team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.

- Process Improvement: You will continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity. This includes identifying areas of improvement, implementing new processes and tools, and monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of these changes.

- Quality Assurance: You will ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards, are thoroughly tested, and meet the client's expectations.

- To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, experience in managing technical teams. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be closely working with international retail clients & team members.

Qualification:

- Bachelors/ master's in computer science, or other relevant degree

- Person with MBA/Executive MBA degrees would be preferred

- 5+ years of industry experience in delivering technical projects

- Understanding Fashion & Luxury Retail Business will be a Big+

- Excellent people management and ability to handle team size of 25+ people.

Responsibilities:

- Person would be responsible for delivering multiple projects in parallel on time with high quality.

- Person would be involved in understanding complex business problems, evaluate, recommend, and deliver technical solutions to both business and systematic issues.

- Generates an inclusive workgroup environment, which encouraged cross-group collaboration.

- Drives technical and professional role readiness across their team.

- Person would be responsible for the local team management, mentorship, and delivery responsibility.

- Person would be responsible for both tracks for his teams - implementation and upgrade.

- Person would be responsible for working closely with customer and ensure deliveries are made per customer business needs

- Person would be responsible for ensuring high client satisfaction through delivery and various value adds

- Person would also represent account internally to create reports for internal management consumption.

- Conducts performance management, including coaching, assessing resource impact, rewarding, and disciplining.

- Recognizes and develops team members' strengths, aligned to capability needs, resulting in strong delivery results.

- Demonstrates and drives valuable customer partner interactions.

- Consistently achieves and frequently surpasses personal and team goals from quarter to quarter.

- Consistently manages areas of fiscal responsibility, staying within budget, and effectively staffing, and managing resources.

- Communicates vision, business direction, & workgroup core priorities.

Requirements:

Skills:


- Good blend of technical skills and business acumen

- Excellent delivery management skills and ability to execute multiple projects. Most of the projects would be delivered in agile manner so person must have good hold on agile delivery methodologies

- Ability to think out of the box along and strong analytical skills.

- High tolerance for change, especially while working within tight timelines.

- Collaborative with the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

- Personal commitment and accountability to ensure standards are continuously sustained and improved both within the internal teams, and with partner organizations and suppliers

- Excellent communications skills with both offshore and onshore resources

- Strong project management discipline with an eye for identifying process improvement areas

- Self-starter who can stay focused and efficient, whether working alone or in a group.

- Person should have good hold on technology and should have worked in technical roles in first 10 years of career. Apart from interacting with VP of Engineering & Director of engineering person would also interact with Technical Managers, Architects, and development leads on client side. Interacting with such technical people would require good hold on technology.

- Person should have good technical breadth and can pick up new technologies in no time.

- Person having excellent articulation skills and has ability to impress new prospects over phone/in person meetings
