Position Overview: Product Manager, Online Matrimony

Location: Kolkata

ABP Group is seeking an experienced digital Product manager. The Product manager will spearhead building and growing the online matrimony website for Anandabazar Patrika. We are looking for driven, motivated people who have extensive experience in creating and managing digital products, preferably in matrimony or allied listings related fields like classifieds (for eg. auto, real estate, education). Experience in digital businesses with significant offline infrastructure and management is preferred.

The product manager is responsible for product planning, owning key metrics related activties like logins, user interactions, personalized messages, contacts, requests. He/she must be able to drive consensus among various stakeholders and articulate tradeoffs used in making product related decisions using data, business outcomes and consumer insights. We are seeking individuals who will also be hands on and are oriented to getting things done.

Core Responsibilities and Role Description

- Develop a deep understanding of end users and clients, identify the pain points in the current offerings and competitor offerings

- Conceptualize products which could create new revenue streams or offer new benefits to clients

- Conceptualize offerings for niche clients

- Develop and execute short and long term plans for payment acceptance, banking and wallet services, focusing on customers, competition, profitability, product life cycle, and service considerations

- Develop product strategy and related product roadmaps for payment acceptance, banking and payment service products enabled online

- Design and manage the mobilization of multiple consumer applications (user generated content, social integration, location, utility, etc.) and enterprise applications (business intelligence, sales force automation, CRM and retail tools)

- Own specific product metrics and goals and develop features and functionality to drive these

- Evangelize product with customers both internal and external and take ownership of end to end functionality to ensure success of product.

- Be the nodal point for functions such as sales, operations, marketing, and product development.

Skill sets/competencies

- Well-versed in the entire life-cycle of a digital product, from concept, to opportunity assessment, to requirement documents and feasibility assessments, prototyping to wireframes and through execution, and be comfortable working across teams of producers, content strategists, designers and business stakeholders.

- Strong wireframing skills

- Good experience in Market research, data analysis, UI and UX.

Experience

- 1 -3 years prior experience in digital product development/management a must

- Prior experience in Matrimony preferred/experience in other listings/classifieds businesses will also be preferred

- Good experience in Market research, data analysis, UI and UX

- Excellent written, oral communication & presentation skills - ability to express thoughts logically & succinctly

- Ability to understand and contribute to the business direction for the company

- Understanding of Bengali language preferred

Education

- MBA from Tier 1 institute only (B.Tech/B.E preferred)
