Main Responsibilities :
- Create, implement and enforce project execution plan/schedule and direction to provide Professional Services value to clients, maintain project profitability and drive revenue growth. Responsible for P&L management, revenue, and margin attainment for each assigned project and per regional goals.
- Lead a cross-functional (business analyst, lead software/configuration engineer, assisting software/configuration engineer(s), tester(s)) project team to implement and deliver customer solutions, while achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Manages both remote and onshore teams driving cohesion and teamwork.
- Responsible for successful and timely delivery of assigned Professional Services projects.
- Implement a balanced resource mix by combining internal headcount and sub-contractors to deliver projects with quality and on budget.
- Comply with practice and financial schedules, resource planning, and all quality and business procedures and directives (e.g. weekly/monthly/quarterly revenue processing, forecasting, invoicing, and customer satisfaction).
- Ensures adherence of project team members to the software, operational, and quality deliverables of the project.
- Partner with Commercial and leadership teams to achieve departmental and corporate objectives; assist in seeking out new revenue opportunities and securing incremental services business; building Abbott Informatics reputation in this space.
- Leverage broad-based industry knowledge and marketplace expertise to ensure customer success related to services delivery.
- Participate, as directed, in and contribute to sales calls, meetings, and presentations regarding Services opportunities.
- Assist in estimation during pre-sales and throughout the course of the project.
- Fully lead, manage, and own projects implementations.
- Derive and assist with instating implementation methodologies such as Agile-Scrum.
- Derive and assist with instating best practices for project management.
- Travel up to 50% for on-site customer visits.
- Works independently and under supervision from management.
- When directed, is able to coach peers or more junior level project, managers
Project Management :
- Understanding of Lab Automation domain expertise and experience in managing large projects specific to any commercial LIMS and preferably STARLIMS experience.
- Knowledge of software testing, test script preparation, and documentation, if the LIMS is being implemented in a regulated environment requiring Computer Systems Validation (CSV)
- Manage projects with the understanding of regulatory environment and compliances such as HIPAA, GxP, 21CFR Part 11 and ISO 9000/9001/17025
- Managing the medium to large scale projects of size $1M to $5M with multiple stake holders management including internal, partner and customer resources. Having worked in Multi geography projects and people exposure especially in APAC region is preferred.
Domain/Industry preference :
- Experience in Lab Automation or similar projects management in Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Healthcare, Diagnostics, F&B, Chemical, Manufacturing, O&G and other scientific domain is highly preferred.
Product experience :
- Large scale project and program management in Lab Informatics and Scientific applications such as LIMS, ELN, SDMS, QMS, HIMS, CDMS, CDS and other GMP &GLP software products.
Graduation degree: Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience required
Experience Background minimum experience :
- 10 years of experience in Practice or Project Management in the Software Industry is required.
- Experience in medical device applications and other regulated environments is a plus
License/Certification details :
- PMP or PRINCE2 required
- Certified Scrum master (CSM) desirable
- MCSE desirable
