Purpose: - Manager Logistics works in co-operation with country logistics operations &amp; support the development and execution of category practices for Logistics category in India, Including Sourcing strategy definition for logistics, deployment, and stakeholder's alignment. - With strong category focus, Manager Logistics drives and supports the execution of sourcing projects and is the point of interaction between logistics operations &amp; Suppliers. Primary Responsibilities : Budget &amp; Planning - Provide inputs for VLC Budget for India Logistics &amp; alignment with Zone Category Manager. - Validate &amp; Provide Inputs to PPM's on Monthly VLC Performance Sourcing &amp; Contracting - Work with consultants or ERP module and conduct the reverse Auction / online RFQ's and negotiation of yearly freight rate contracts for Outbound &amp; Inbound Categories. - Finalizing the transportation strategy and firm up the negotiation strategies for different businesses / products. - Developing the vendor base for different factory locations. - Benchmarking of freight rates - Work on the different levers to optimize the freight per case - Collaborate with Vendors/Industry to create new options for reducing the delivery cost. - Negotiation with Suppliers for service levels, Price, Payment Terms - Structured interaction with Logistics operation team &amp; vendors to resolve operational &amp; payment related matters. - Involve business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation and follow up etc. Improvement Projects - Carrier performance Initiates to ensure service levels &amp; cost is balanced. - Spot Buy Process automation - Work with Operations team to identify current gaps &amp; Identify &amp; Implement Improvement Projects to bridge Gaps. Compliance &amp; Reporting - Ensure DAG approvals are in place for each project. - Ensure Logistics - T&amp;M Comments are provided. - Annaplan is updated - WAPT Reports are checked and verified.
