1. PURPOSE OF ROLE

The role will manage the following streams in the L&D function:

Learning Design & Development: Design and development of learning experiences that facilitate the retention and application of knowledge across our different businesses.

Learning Technology Management: Define and implement the digital learning strategy through understanding of learning platforms and tools, and their use to address learning needs of the business

Learning Delivery Management

The role will be accountable for setting strategic direction as well as managing day-to-day operations:

- Defining and achieving strategic priorities for the year

- Managing team performance and quality of service

- SLA achievement

- Stakeholder management

Special Projects: Leading special projects depending on strategic priorities of the L&D function and/or business units that we serve.

2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic

- Establish processes and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the L&D service offering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and parity with industrial best practices.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, establishing credibility as a partner to the business, add value and grow the service.

- Utilize internal forums to share best practices, deliver efficiencies, and ensure sustainability of service through upskilling and cross-skilling of team members.

- Coach and mentor team members, carry out annual performance review activities.

Responsibilities

- Create and execute learning strategies and programs

- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs

- Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)

- Design e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings

- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities

- Drive adoption of the learning management systems/platforms

- Define the methodology for high impact digital learning

- Lead the design and curation (through direct team and vendors) of digital learning experiences.

- Create governance structures to enable decentralized (employee driven) authoring and curation of content, while ensuring maximum relevance and quality.

- Take a data-driven approach to needs identification, evaluation and decision making.

- Establish clear and repeatable dashboards; proactively share insights and actions.

- Effectively plan and manage budgets, resources, vendors and partners to achieve exceptional results.

- Business development & growth through proper pipeline management, internal brand creation and awareness building

- Build team with right skillsets and profiles to meet business need of best-in-class learning

Operational

Responsible for overseeing Team Lead/Team Members to:

- Complete periodic reporting & analytics activities

- Create and maintain training activity records

- Generate completion reports for different learning programs, consolidate by stakeholder requirements and create meaningful dashboards

- Complete communication/follow-up to support achievement of KPIs related to compliance and mandatory training

- Complete Learning admin tasks

- Create/assign curricula as agreed with the business

- Resolve requests from users, including troubleshooting technical issues

- Drive and guide design/Develop/Deploy eLearning Courses

- Understand learning requirements from the business and document need in appropriate format

- Design appropriate learning strategy

- Storyboard course and develop course in authoring tool

- Guide and monitor Test and deploy course on LMS

- Platform management with license coverage, IT integrations and Budget

- Manage stakeholder reviews, implement feedback and obtain signoffs throughout development cycle

- Manage L&D Budget and ensure pipeline of new work to grow team and meet value creation KPIs

- Track and improve SLAs/KPIs, complete reports as necessary, and present to stakeholders on monthly process performance review meetings

3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

The position demands high levels of accountability, agility, and diligence in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Product development experience; strong user focus and understanding of product development life-cycle.

- Exceptional project management skills with experience planning large-scale global programs for technical audiences.

- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.

- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills; concise and to the point.

- Lead the team to meet business objectives by developing talent. Focus on growth and client relationship management.

- Partnering with the Zone/GHQ partners for the ideation, prioritization, road-mapping and approval process for all existing and new opportunities. Drive initiatives to enhance client experience and improve operating efficiency and productivity through process improvements.

- Work with ABI global leadership and senior client stakeholders on a day to day basis.

- Drive employee initiatives, address people issues, effective on-boarding and training

- Build and maintain effective communication channels between employees, internal and external stakeholders providing regular updates on the Operations.

- Develop strong working relationship between the client Operations and Technology teams.

- Define effective escalation procedures to raise potential delivery risks and maintain a robust business continuity plan

4. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

- Level of educational attainment:

Master's Degree preferred

- Professional qualifications and accreditations/memberships:

Strategic Management/Operations management /Learning Delivery/Project management qualifications

- Previous work experience:

- 8-10 years in a leadership role in the Learning domain

- Knowledge of effective learning and development methods

- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

- Experience in project management and budgeting

- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen

- Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors

- Ability to be the Influencers among the Senior leadership group

- Language skills:

Must have very strong English written and verbal communication skills

- IT/Other skills:

MS Office: Must have strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Ability to manage End to end operations management, Proficiency in Transforming and setting the new process to lift and shift

Proficiency in standard e-learning authoring tools, e.g., Captivate, Articulate 360
