Aakash Institute - Senior Manager/Area General Manager - IT Infrastructure

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Overall responsible for IT- Infra function as Process Owner.

- Aligning business objectives (as defined by the stakeholders) with the IT objectives.

- Define IT Policies to meet business objectives. Periodically monitor and review IT Policies to align with business objectives.

- Define Project Structure and Project Phases for IT Infrastructure, Applications, and Connectivity for assigned line of business.

- Vendor Review, Management, and Project Cost Controls to short list/suggest best available Vendors meet business objectives. Process IT purchases and payment release notes for the IT function.

- Assess IT risks and alert stake holders to take informed business decisions.

- Periodically connect with peer HODs to understand and fulfill their function level challenges, dependent on IT Function.

- Assess project requirement at the regional/HO teams and give necessary technical guidance to the teams to meet the required project deadlines.

- Architect, monitor, and maintain Active Directory related services, File Services, Server Infrastructure, WAN/LAN/WLAN supporting business-critical systems.

- Be responsible for server, storage, network, security and monitoring hardware, software and services ensuring they are optimized for availability, stability, integrity, performance, and scalability.

- Demonstrated Data Center/Server Room build out experience (Power, Network, Cooling, etc.)

- Lead the Data Center and site support function, Desktop & MAC Support team

- Responsible for managing and maintaining uptime of the Datacenter infrastructure, WAN, LAN, Firewall, Antivirus, Security infrastructure, desktops and desktop applications

- Responsible for Data backup, restoration, redundancy and BCP functionalities

- Must have strong understanding and experience in Implementation of Information Security Policy, Procedures Standards, and Management

- Must have strong understanding and experience in Information Security Risk Management of IT Infrastructure & Applications

- Resolve all the issues escalated from respective IT teams and other functions.

Qualification & Skill Requirements :

- Qualified BE/ B Tech with 10- 12 years of experience

- Should have managed IT Infra Projects in medium to large organization

- Knowledge about various project management tools

- Experience of handling large scale Application roll out in distributed office setup

- Knowledge of advanced concepts and basic principles of data communication, IT system Hardware and software

- Ability to develop and monitor program schedules and timelines to identify and meet critical mile stones

- Sound knowledge of monitoring server health systems, script writing, and maintenance with ZERO downtime.

- Sound Knowledge of Firewall/ IT Security, Networking, Servers, Routers and ability to handle Server/Networking issue independently.
