Job Description

As a Business Operations Consultant on the Operations Excellence team, you will focus on enhancing the operational efficiency of our project teams and client engagements. You shall plan an instrumental role in institutionalizing Continuous Improvement as the way of thinking and day to day working amongst the operations group members. You will help build Operations Excellence knowledge of the teams through training programs, initiatives, workshops and partnering with them to identify gaps in existing processes, create meaningful plans and roadmaps to improve their operations maturity over a period of time and facilitate adoption of best practices across teams. Creating an impact through strategic automation is a key dimension of this role. You will lead a team to design and manage both strategic and tactical implementation of Automation/ Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. For this, you will work closely with our leadership and project teams as well as external technology partners. Such implementations could span from basic automations to machine learning to cognitive, depending on the need and the fit.

With time and as you advance in your career, you may choose to continue working in the specialized Operations Excellence team focused on Automations or move to manage overall projects and client engagements, supporting our clients- marketing and sales activities to ensure productivity and profitability in their business operations. As a Business Operations Consultant specializing in Automation/ RPA and part of the Operations Excellence team, you will:

- Help detail our strategy and approach on automation - RPA, cognitive and AI - by working directly with senior leadership and key stakeholders in ZS

- Lead automation/ RPA implementations right from business diagnostic and initial opportunity assessment all the way to planning and implementation across a range of operations areas and projects.

- Bring in perspectives and skills of advanced technologies - Robotics, Machine learning, Cognitive Computing, etc. to enhance the improvement opportunities for internal and external projects

- Bring industry knowledge, world class capabilities, innovation and cutting-edge technology to our business and our clients

- Partner with multi-function teams and onboard all important stakeholders

- Act as a thought leader and guide to help drive meaningful impact and long term benefits

- Enable and support project teams improve their operations maturity and processes

- Partner with project teams to benchmark their performance on operational practices and help create annual plans to improve their adherence to these benchmarks.

- Develop and impart training programs on Process Excellence such as BPMS, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

- Lead major process enablement and re-engineering initiatives

- Facilitate VSM workshops and improvement initiatives for internal project teams as well as for clients

- Work with senior leadership and teams across offices on change management projects and initiatives

- Provide thought leadership and innovation, advising internal groups and leading initiatives on business operations excellence

Qualifications

Graduates with a bachelor- s/master's degree and a MBA, plus 5-7 years of prior experience in process excellence / change management/ Lean Six Sigma roles. In lieu of an MBA, 7-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute. In addition to a strong academic record of analytic and quantitative work, typically demonstrated through consistent top marks in university, we seek individuals with the following personal skills:

- Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of automation/ RPA tools and of creating business use cases, business analysis and implementing automation/ RPA.

- Demonstrated ability in defining automation roadmap of business areas or processes within a services organization

- Demonstrated technical capability in implementing enterprise automation products and applications such as automation/ RPA

- Expertise in one or more automation/ RPA tools - Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Kryon, etc.

- Expertise in project management (PMP) techniques

- Ability to lead change management initiatives/ projects
