Our client is a large group having diversified businesses in Africa, is looking out for GM-Corporate Finance to be based at Lagos, Nigeria
The salient features of the mandate are as follows:
1. Qualifications: CA + 2. Experience: 10-15 + years post qualification experience Corporate Finance 3. Age profile: 38 to 45 years 4. Location: Lagos, Nigeria. 5. Reporting to : CEO / Director
Job Description:
· Responsible for the financial operations for the Group companies including international operations.
· Treasury and Forex management
· Forex management of the group companies in order to minimize currency risk.
· Manage a mix of borrowing between USD & local currency with hedge and arbitrage opportunities for treasury management
· Establishing systems and procedures to improve financial discipline and compliance.
· Building the Finance team to meet the business needs and growth challenges.
· Identifying strategies to improve profitability and cash flows. Leading cost-out initiatives.
· Performing the key role of validating business plans & commercial strategies for maximizing profitability & revenue generation in line with corporate goals.
· Determining financial objectives and preparing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial control in the areas of pricing, credit and collection.
· Presenting a true/fair view of the financial position of the company by way of timely preparation of annual reports ensuring analysing the expenditure on a monthly basis to control expenses.
· Preparing and finalizing year end financial statements such as balance sheet, profit & loss account. Coordinating in complete planning & management activities for ensuring completion of internal & statutory audits within time.
· Developing need based budgets, conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected figures and actual expenditure and taking corrective actions as needed.
· Conducting general / board meetings entailing issuance of notices, drafting agenda, recording minutes and passing resolutions as required under Companies Act.
· Looking after procedural formalities pertaining to incorporation of company and other corporate restructuring initiatives, ensuring compliance with various statutory laws & obligations.
· Negotiating with banks and financial institutions for raising fund and non-fund based facilities to meet working capital and project requirements.
· Preparing tax plans and ensuring timely filing of direct & indirect tax returns including TDS returns in compliance with regulatory tax acts; monitoring issuance of TDS Certificates.
· Liaising with govt. departments & regulatory authorities. for obtaining necessary licenses / sanctions and ensuring compliance with various statutory obligations.
· Creating MIS reports & other statements with a view to apprise management of process operations and assisting in critical decision-making process

Position: Associate – Investment Banking(Consumer Durables)
Requirements: Post graduation - MBA from IIM (2007/2008 batch)only. + Graduation - BE from IIT/ REC/DCE/BITS Pilani Experience : 1-2 yrs

Position Description:
Deal execution support Pre-sales support by preparing effective, customized sales pitches Edit client agreements to effectively represent the understanding between the client and VP/ED Collateral preparation Facilitation of buyer and seller interactions (roadshows, conference calls, etc.)
Coordination of the due diligence and documentation process to ensure efficient closure Outreach for deals (buyside and sellside)
Sector coverage Mapping of assigned segment (product, geography or industry group) Maintaining a databases of companies in assigned segment Outreach to companies (cold calling, attending conferences)
Industry Networking Knowledge of every deal & valuation multiples in the respective vertical
Client engagement Managing all deal related issues except those critical to final outcome
