Our client, a leading MNC FMCG/Healthcare company, is looking for the following:  Position Title - Zonal Sales Manager - South & West/North & East (2 positions)  Location - Chennai/Kolkata  Reporting to - Sales & Marketing Director  Reportees - 7-8 ASMs  Role and Responsibilities  The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for the sales performance for the assigned zone in India. He/She assists the RTM Head in delivering the overall zonal objectives; supervises, fine-tunes and monitors the execution and takes pro-active initiatives to cease every opportunity to increase the sales in accordance with the companies- policies and strategies.  1. Recruit, motivate, train and lead the team of ASMs, SOs and DSRs  2. Closely monitor, influence and report on the actions of the Zonal Sales team in order to check their alignment with the agreed overall strategy  3. To create the business plan/strategy for the assigned zone and manage all channels including chemists, MT, GT and CSD.  4. To achieve volume and value objectives of the assigned zone within budget, time and policy parameters through efficient control of distributor network under charge.  5. To ensure accurate Sales forecasting - SKU wise for the region based on sound analysis and support the supply chain team for correct planning.  6. Ensure hygiene factors- appropriate technology access, smooth claim processes for the distributors with active help from the Zonal Sales team  7. Develop and coach the team to take on higher responsibilities; identifying training needs and potential  8. Conduct regular reviews with the team and assist the team in strategizing and achieving the targets set for the individuals, regions and zone  9. Track competition activities. Ensure proper and immediate information sharing / feedback for appropriate and timely action.   10. Coordination with Medical Zonal Manager, Medical Reps, CFAs, distributors and Retailers.  Job Specifications  Education Background: MBA in Sales/Marketing, Graduates may also be considered if they have relevant industry experience.  Experience Needed (Professional): Minimum 8 years of experience in sales with at least 3-4 years- experience as a second line manager.
