Role Purpose

- Working under shared service centre in India, the Qualified Accountant/Graduate is responsible for developing and supporting the management/financial accounting framework of Xchanging Global Shared Services (GSS). The position is expected to assist the Finance Director of GSS.

- The position has a key role in forecasting, financial analysis, review of P&L, Cash flow & balance sheet and providing timely, accurate and targeted information and supporting value add. In most of the cases would require to work across sectors for GSS element. Should be an ambassador for Xchanging demonstrating strong communication skills.

Key Accountabilities

- Preparation of month end reports (P&L and Balance Sheet) from source system and HFM

- Responsibility for variance analysis of P&L and balance sheet items at profit centre level

- Working with GSS operation leads/ project managers for details of budget, forecast, actuals.

- Preparation and management of GSS intercompany recharges

- Supporting GSS-Finance Director in preparing & maintaining the budgets/forecasts and actual reports

- Liaise with other sector finance controllers for GSS costs, capex and revenue, if any

- Uploading the budgets/forecasts to source system & HFM

- Proactively maintains and drives improvements in standards for accuracy, quality, standard financial information, key performance indicators, levels of budget holder accountability and the general communication of information to the business

- Drive process improvements and standardisation projects and other initiatives related to costs and recoveries optimisation

- Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, debtors and creditors management, intercompany balance agreement related to GSS, if ant etc

- Adhoc tasks as and when required

Criteria

- Qualified Accountant with 4-7 years. Knowledge of IFRS is preferred.

- Setting and maintaining the highest professional standards for himself / herself.

- Self motivated and needs to be excellent team player.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications.

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to details.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel (IF, lookup, pivot etc)

- Proficient in word and power-point.

- Proficient with SAP/Oracle. Desirable exposure to Hyperion financials.
