Wipro - Solution Innovation Head

Job Description:

- The candidate must have played a role of Head of an Innovation for a large corporation, or Head of Product Development for a reputable Product Company (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, IBM) or She/He has a past Entrepreneur background

- Should be well versed with the emerging trends, IT/business drivers for products and solutions development, crowd sourcing approaches

- Good technical strength in Databases, Java Application Platforms, Cloud Platforms, Operating systems (Linux, Unix, windows)

- Should have performed customer facing role in the past

- Candidate should possess excellent communication skills

- Familiarity with global working model would be an advantage

- Good knowledge on product/solution engineering methodologies, Agile methodologies

It is expected that the candidate will carry out following functions in this role:

Innovation & Product Engineering:

- Create Product development strategy, methodology, and execute the same

- Research to gather market intelligence, industry outlook, conceptualize and assist in designing new solutions

- Ideation of disruptive / future proof solutions to enable growth

- Drive innovation in developing solutions and Frameworks/IPs

- Define and build IP assets, solution artifacts, frameworks (lab and production ready)

- Should have Deep Enterprise Architecture knowledge

- Ability to evangelize and execute crowd sourcing approaches for team contributions

Customer Engagement:

- Evangelize co innovation with customers

- New opportunities conversion for Solution offerings

- Participate in Presales and Customer workshops

Delivery & Competency:

- Manage the solution/product engineering team

- Build deep team competency through trainings and mentoring

- Provide engineering support for solutions during and post project implementations

- Manage and run the Solution Innovation Lab

Industry Leadership:

- Represent Wipro brand in various industry/vendor forums and events

- Build connects with Business/IT Leadership and Industry Analysts

Alliances:

- Work with leading alliance partners in Open Source space and develop joint solutions

- Build and mentor a consulting team.
