Wipro - Senior Telecom Test Architect

As a Senior Telecom Test Architect, the key responsibility is:

- Systems architect role and drive test approach and methodology in programs

- Define the technology charter for the telecom testing group

- Identify and groom the technical experts in the team

- Identify the emerging opportunity areas and work on building technical expertise and experience by building POC and solutions.

- Support the practice team during the bidding and project scoping phase

Skill set:

- Should possess between 15+ years experience in the area of Routing & Switching ie OSPF, ISIS, RIP, BGP with Traffic Engineering, QoS and focused on Network testing during most part of your career.

- Should have worked in Architect role as individual contributor

- Detailed knowledge of L2/L3 technologies, specific to IP Core, Edge, Ethernet Aggregation, Broadband, Mobile Backhaul involving MPLS, IP Routing - OSPF, BGP, Switching - Ethernet, Carrier Ethernet, ATM/FR, QoS, DSL, FTTx, Security. Possess in-depth technical knowledge in two or more technology areas

- Hands on experience in configuring and testing Cisco, Juniper, ALU, Tellabs, Redback, Alcatel-lucent, NetScreen, Intoto, etc.

- Should have Automation script development expertise during the course of his career

- Experience in configuring and using testing measurement & tools - Spirent, Agilent N2x, IXIA

- Lead experience in terms of scheduling, planning and managing test deliverables based on the above platforms

- Provided solution design and consultancy for any network services like Enterprise VoIP, MPLS VPN, Frame Relay/ATM implementation, AAA services, etc or possess/understands the domain and capability to provide a design

- Good knowledge in test processes, test life cycle and estimation techniques (includes Test Strategy & Plan, Test Estimation)

- Prior experience in Service Providers is a distinct advantage as it aids to understanding customer requirements and articulating solutions.

- Candidates who have certifications like CCNP, CCIP or CCIE are desirable

- Aptitude and attitude in picking up new technologies, requirements understanding and also providing recommended approaches/solutions.
