Internet Of Things - Solutions Lead

- Work with a strong engineering team to craft internet scale solutions for IOT systems

- Responsible for conducting system research, analysis, design, benchmarking and problem resolution with close coordination with Business Analysts, customers and the Lead Solutions Architect

- Responsible for crafting end to architecture to maintain and improve IOT related processes that maximize system availability, efficiency/ effectiveness and minimize/prevent problems/ issues

- Responsible for evaluating and selecting the best fit products for project implementations

- Responsible for building quick prototypes to demonstrate the viability of a concept

- 12+ years of overall experience with focus on design and development of large scale systems

- Prior experience in structured data analysis in big data solutions, preferably time series data

- Experience in designing and developing high volume, high throughput applications

- Should have exposure to various competing technologies and clearly be able to pick out the most suited for a given project

- Ability to develop High/Low Level Design diagrams, system functionality changes, data model, data flow, interface specifications etc.

Strong skills in:

- Solid experience in Architecture and Design of large scale, high throughput systems

- Good understanding of M2M/IOT

- Ability to design, code, test, and guide deployment of complex software projects

- Java

- Relational databases: SQL, JDBC, Oracle and/or PostgresSQL

- NoSQL/other databases: Cassandra/Mongodb, neo4j

- Messaging Products: Apache Kafka, Software AG Universal Messaging

- Comfortable in a Linux/Unix environment

Optional, but desired :

- In-memory databases (EHCache/Terracota, memchaced..) experience a plus

- Experience in Complex Event Processing products (Apama, esper) a plus

Other Skills:

- Should be able to work independently and absorb new information quickly

- Should be able to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks

- Ability and desire to travel (15% of the time)

- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
